Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of woof.day ("the Platform"), operated by Woof Day Ltd, a company registered in Ireland ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. The service

Woof.day is a marketplace that connects pet owners ("Customers") with dog grooming professionals ("Pros"). We provide the platform for discovery, booking, and reviews. We are not a grooming service provider and do not employ or control the Pros listed on the Platform.

3. Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. For Customers

When you book a grooming service through the Platform, you enter into a direct arrangement with the Pro. We facilitate the booking but are not a party to the service agreement between you and the Pro. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your pet
  • Arrive at the agreed time or cancel in advance
  • Treat Pros with respect
  • Submit honest, fair reviews based on genuine experiences

5. For Pros

By listing your services on the Platform, you represent that you have the necessary skills, insurance, and any required licences to provide dog grooming services in your jurisdiction. You agree to:

  • Provide services as described in your listing
  • Maintain accurate availability and pricing
  • Treat all animals with care and professionalism
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including animal welfare legislation
  • Maintain appropriate public liability insurance

6. Reviews

Reviews may only be submitted by Customers who have completed a verified booking through the Platform. Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on the actual service received. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines, contain profanity, or are deemed fraudulent. Pros may not incentivise, coerce, or manipulate reviews.

7. Payments

Payments for Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges at the agreed rate. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, including the European Union Consumer Rights Directive.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform (design, text, logos, software) is owned by Woof Day Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Content you upload (photos, reviews, profile information) remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the Platform.

9. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Attempt to circumvent the Platform to avoid fees
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce the Platform's content without permission
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services offered by Pros. We do not endorse any Pro and are not responsible for any dispute between Customers and Pros.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Data deletion will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and GDPR requirements.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence under EU law, including Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast).
